Inaugural Identity Governance and Administration User Group Meeting in Johannesburg

JOHANNESBURG, 16 September, 2016 – Ubusha and SailPoint today held the first South African Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) User Group Meeting. The IGA user group meeting offers an informal and enlightening environment where users of SailPoint IdentityIQ can share experiences and learn from each other.

“Ubusha are delighted to have had their customers partaking in open discussions around their experiences and lessons learnt with the Identity and Access Governance projects they have undertaken over the past year” says Andrew Whittaker, Ubusha.

“Customer satisfaction is paramount to SailPoint’s business strategy, and our customers fully recognize the value of putting identity at the center of their security strategies,” said Peter Hunter, Territory Manager of SailPoint South Africa. “SailPoint’s customers will benefit from a robust user group ecosystem to make sure organizations are sharing best practice ideas, during and after they purchase our solutions. We’re honored that our customers choose to go-to-market with us, and are pleased with the feedback from the user group.” says Hunter

Across its 10-year history, SailPoint has a proven track record of driving innovation in the market, pioneering identity governance, revolutionizing provisioning and ultimately, delivering the industry’s first enterprise-grade IAM solution delivered from the cloud. As a proof point of SailPoint’s success, the company has consistently been named a Leader in Gartner's “Magic Quadrant for Identity Governance and Administration (IGA),” among other industry accolades. In 2015, SailPoint continued driving innovation in the market by delivering:

  • IdentityIQ 7.0, the industry’s first open IAM platform that delivers unmatched integration with the broader operational and IT security infrastructure;
  • A business-ready, mobile-first user experience within all products that delivers a consistent and unified user experience across all desktops, tablets and smartphones;
  • “Identity Cubes” technology into IdentityNow to provide a holistic view of all user access across cloud and on-premise applications;
  • SecurityIQ, which extended SailPoint’s governance-based approach to unstructured data, allowing SailPoint’s IAM solutions to manage all users, all apps and all data; and
  • The Identity+ Alliance to accelerate and enhance integration with operational and security infrastructures.

Presentations were invited from customers who offered to present their implementation case studies.  The top banks in South Africa attended and there was strong representation from the telecommunications industry.

The next event will be held in early 2017.
